The SEPECAT Jaguar for sale, model GR3, an aircraft that first flew in 1968, still serves with the Indian air force. SEPECAT stands for Societe Europeenne de Production de l'Avion d'Ecole de Combat et d'Appui Tactique.

The SEPECAT Jaguar For Sale is a joint venture product of England and France and both countries operated it until recently. The French replaced their Jaguar aircraft in 2005 and the British replaced them in 2007.

The British Royal Air Force originally intended the SEPECAT Jaguar jet fighter to be used solely as a trainer, replacing their aging Folland Gnat and Hawker Hunter training aircraft. However, while the aircraft was still being developed it was decided to also use it for ground support missions. That was to save the cost of developing an additional aircraft for such missions.

In 2000 SEPECAT Jaguar jet fighter aircraft of the British RAF received a major upgraded including GPS navigation, head up displays, new cockpit instrumentation, and targeting systems.

The model GR3 is capable of high speed attack missions, delivering large quantities of ordnance over long distances in day/night, all weather conditions.

SEPECAT Jaguar jet fighters are also used in the reconnaissance role and for training.

The landing gear of the aircraft was designed so that it can operate from unimproved air fields close to front lines, even with a maximum load of ordnance.

Jaguar jet fighter aircraft can be equipped with a centerline fuel tank or drop tanks under each wing.

A special pod is mounted on the aircraft when it is used for reconnaissance. It can provide low and medium altitude, horizon-to-horizon, mapping.

Ordnance carried during attack missions may include free fall bombs, “smart” bombs, rockets and a pair of 30 mm cannons. Top of the wing hard points can also mount air to air missiles.

Defensive systems of the GR3 include a rear warning radar, an ECM (electronic counter measure) pod, chaff and flare dispensers.

French and RAF SEPECAT Jaguar aircraft saw action in the 1991 Gulf War. Most recently RAF Jaguar fighter jets participated in the U.S. invasion of Iraq.

A total of 543 SEPECAT Jaguar jet fighter aircraft were produced.
