The Antonov A-13 was a glider constructed from metal.

On February 8, 1962 a jet powered Antonov A-13 set a world speed record of 196 km/h (121.79 mph) for its class of aircraft.

About 200 Antonov A-13 aircraft were produced, but we only know of one that was jet-powered.
