The team continues the tradition of Spanish aerobatic teams founded in the early 1950’s.
It is made up of unpaid volunteers. The pilots are instructors from the Spanish Air Force.
Each year the team assembles in February to begin training for another season. Their exhibitions start in April and continue through October.
Each Patrulla Aguila flight demonstration is approximately half of an hour long, with the aircraft flying in formation at low and medium altitudes.
To date the Patrulla Aguila have performed in over 500 flight demonstrations and accumulated a total of over 25,000 flight hours.
